These impressive figures - officially compiled by the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) - place Birmingham City University as leader in a top ten of ‘in demand' universities compiled by THE.
In total 18,792 people have applied for degrees and other courses at

"The swell in applications is down to our portfolio of excellent courses, the investment we have made in facilities for teaching and learning - but above all our first-rate staff.
"As a result the University has become more attractive to a broad range of students. I'm sure that one of the most alluring areas for any potential student is our success rate in turning graduates into people who have the knowledge and skills to enter the world of work.
"For some time now, the University has worked in consultation with employers to help our graduates apply their skills and knowledge in the workplace - helping to make our students future-proof."
