If you only read one online book this autumn, make it the Tales of Creativity.

Birmingham City University has unveiled an online collection of innovative case studies from within the creative industries, from graduate employability to business start-ups.

Capture the experiences of a number of bright and ambitious individuals as they reflect on their journey into their chosen fields by logging on to Tales of Creativity and
read a multitude of written and filmed interviews that provide a realm of inspiration and advice to the entrepreneurs of the future.

Visitors to the website can learn how Birmingham City University enterprise training courses and innovative curriculum can accelerate dreams and ideas.

What is the best aspect of your course so far?
Great contact with the tutors and their to help & talk.

In a few words how good is everything?
I like the course and the people, the Uni's facilities are great, too. Birmingham is a diverse, developed-but-green and strange in a positive way city.a month I feel settled and hoping to enjoy my time!

What do you miss from home?
My family (my lil' sister!), my friends, real bread, milk and butter, grandma's apple cake, driving a car and the TV.

What did you forget to bring?

Nail clippers, slippers, hangers.

Would you recommend BCU to friends back home?
Yes, It's a good place to do your Degree!

Any other comments?
Seeing autumn in UK (the beautiful skies) from my halls window8th floorlike watching landscape paintings. Oh and by the way - love shopping in Birmingham!!!

We have the technology! Cyborg expert, guest lectures at Birmingham City University
Department of Computing are inviting staff and students to hear a guest lecture by international keynote speaker and former Birmingham City University alumni, Professor Kevin Warwick.

Kevin Warwick is a professor of Cybernetics at the University of Reading and earlier this month gave a lecture entitled: ‘Robots with Biological Brains and Humans with Part Machine Brains’.

Kevin studied at Birmingham City University in the 1970s and appeared on television regarding his research into artificial intelligence, control robotics and biomedical engineering. His pioneering and successful experiments include the first extra-sensory (ultrasonic) input for a human and implantation of devices into the nervous system in order to assess advanced technology for use with disabled people.
